would like to have a bit higher waist. picture on model is not accurate for where this fits on my waist.
Erin Galbraith –
I ordered these with some hesitation because my measurements are off the sizing chart. I am 5’10” and 128 lbs. I also have a small waist with wide hip bones, which can make athletic wear challenging. I generally wear a small (long, if available).
I emailed CW-X customer service for fitting advice, and received a timely reply with the suggestion to order these tights in a medium. They did not feel as if they provided much compression, but I have little experience with high-quality . I compression clothing. I intended to exchange them, but experienced a traumatic family death and completely forgot.
About a month ago I pulled them out of their box, as I was too late to return them, and started wearing them anyway. They are very comfortable and sturdy. The webbing seems to hit at the correct places. I’ve fallen a couple of times on some steep trails and the material is undamaged.
Another reason I ordered these is a connective tissue disorder than that causes pretty severe hypermobilty and joint instability. I was hoping to have the added benefit of some support. I have not felt much difference, unfortunately. I think it they may improved my proprioception to some extent, though. My knees don’t bonk into each other as often.
I like these leggings very much, but I wish there were broader size options. They were a huge investment for me, so I feel badly that I missed the opportunity to exchange these for a more appropriate style or size. Nevertheless, I like them very much and wear them often. Beautifully made.

I ordered a large according to your chart but really need a medium

Love! Keep my hypermobile hips in place. Wish they weren’t so expensive, but no regrets.
Emilly –
wish they had a bit more compression but they are really good, I just put another pair of leggings over top to snug it up some more.

definitely feel the benefits of compression, but the eyelet for my knees doesn’t stay put there. it keeps rotating (mostly medially). not sure why, but it feels wrong.

These are great! They are so supportive skiing, I’ve stopped wearing a knee brace on my old ACL repair. I’m 6’1 165lbs and I wear a medium in most things, but bought a large based on the size chart. They fit well, though I do wish they had a flatter, wider waist band. They are a bit loose in the lower thigh area, but I wouldn’t get a smaller size because of the waist band. Maybe its just me being athletic but curvy/hip-y.

A little hard to get on the first time. but really supportive. My legs feel much fresher after a long hike. Excellent for yoga as well
Mary M. –
Didn’t think I’d be able to squeeze into the M but I did. It’s perfect for my legs but my middle age spread at the waist made it tighter than preferred. At 67 and 146 lb, I have more “muffin top” than desired. But they feel fine after awhile. Just wish there was another inch at the waist!
